rohit sharma takes driver’s seat in mi’s team bus, video goes viral – watch
Mumbai Indians are back in the IPL 2024 title race after losing the first three matches of the ongoing season under Hardik Pandya’s leadership. The Mumbai-based franchise bounced back in style after hat-tricks of defeats by getting the better of the Delhi Capitals and Royal Challengers Bengaluru. After winning the last two matches, MI is now set to host archrivals and five-time champions Chennai Super Kings at Wankhede Stadium on Sunday (April 14).
The match between the two most successful teams in IPL history is expected to be a nail-biting contest that can go either way. MI leads the head-to-head record between the two teams, but in the two matches played last year, it was CSK that got the better of the Mumbai Indians. MI will be desperate to take revenge for two losses last year and get the better of Ruturaj Gaikwad & Co. in front of home fans.
Ahead of the match between the two star-studded teams, a video is going viral on the internet in which Indian men’s cricket team captain Rohit Sharma, who is playing as a pure batter in IPL 2024 after being sacked by MI last year, can be seen taking the driver’s seat in the Mumbai Indians’ team bus. Rohit’s act drew hilarious reactions from his teammates and Mumbai Indians fans, who were gathered in huge numbers.
Here’s the video of Rohit Sharma taking the driver’s seat in MI’s team bus:
Rohit will be a key player for the Mumbai Indians in the IPL 2024 match against CSK on Sunday. He is the most capped player in the franchise’s history and has also scored the most runs (5197 runs in 203 matches).
Rohit’s form in IPL 2024
In the ongoing season of the Indian Premier League, Rohit has scored 156 runs in five matches for the Mumbai Indians. He kicked off the season by scoring 43 runs from 29 balls against the Gujarat Titans at Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on March 24 and then amassed a total of 26 runs from just 12 balls against SRH in Hyderabad.
In the team’s third match at Wankhede Stadium against the Rajasthan Royals, he got out for a golden duck but bounced back in the next two fixtures by scoring 49 and 38 runs against the Delhi Capitals and RCB, respectively.
