Car launches often follow a template and therefore end up being the same thing every time, but the local distributor of British brand Land Rover went a different route for the Philippine debut of its most premium Range Rover yet.

Following similar executions in other parts of the world, organizers held the launch of the Range Rover SV at an ultra-luxurious house in an exclusive subdivision in Metro Manila’s south. The so-called ‘Range Rover House’ featured a series of curated experiences that was meant to reflect the lifestyle of the premium SUV.

Eye-catching artworks from Galleria Paloma in the foyer welcomed guests before they were led to the basement through the residential elevator. There was pass-around grub from acclaimed Chef Josh Boutwood of Helm as guests gathered around the Agape stall for a crash course on pour-over coffee. This was followed by a whisky master class from premium single malt scotch whisky The Dalmore.

The activities were held amidst modern interiors decked out in Minotti furniture and audio and video set-up from Bang & Olufsen.

But of course, the highlight of the evening was the grand unveiling of the Range Rover SV—which Land Rover says is the fastest, most luxurious, and most technically advanced Range Rover ever.

Chris Ward, vice president of IC Land Automotive Inc. introduced the Range Rover SV in the adjacent garage. The plug-in hybrid EV has a 3.0-Liter 6-cylinder engine and can be customized depending on client’s specifications. Every aspect of the vehicle—from its exterior finish with a two-tone Range Rover script, meticulously crafted twin touchscreen panels, and chiller in between the two first-class passenger seats—has been carefully thought out to deliver the absolute best in land mobility.

The Range Rover in Serenity theme has a full-length rear with a veneer topper and integrated ambient lighting, a Rear Seat Touchscreen Controller, with wireless charging, that allows passengers in the second row to control comfort and entertainment. There’s also a club table deployed electronically, where passengers can enjoy a refreshing drink from the small fridge that also holds specially designed crystal glassware.

Ward even exhibited the features of the Range Rover SV tailgate, which unfolds to provide seats for up to two grown adults. The 29-speaker Meridian sound system provides crystal clear audio, which they also demonstrated by playing “Cold Heart” by Dua Lipa and Elton John.

The price tag for this ultra-luxurious SUV: P29.750 million.

“The Philippines is one of the fastest growing countries in Asia, with a rising number of high net-worth individuals,” Ward said. “This is why this is a great opportunity for the Philippine market, as our discerning clients look for exclusivity and utmost luxury. This is the first time Range Rover SV has been publicly shown and this is the best way to reinforce our Modern Luxury principles in a way that clients have not previously experienced.”
