Taylor Swift fans can nab resale tickets with 'unrestricted views' for under €200 right now
Taylor Swift performs at the Eras Tour in Melbourne in Feb 2024
The European leg of Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour begins next week, with some fans convinced the set list will be switched up to include new songs from the superstar’s latest album, The Tortured Poets Department.
Anticipation is building ahead of the first shows this side of the Atlantic which kick off in Paris on Thursday. The record-breaking tour will then make its way around Europe, including three nights in Dublin’s Aviva Stadium on June 28, 29 and 30.
Thousands tried to get their hands on tickets when they went on sale last year, and while some got lucky, there were plenty of other disappointed fans who missed out. All hope is not lost though, as there is still a chance for Swifties to see the impressive performance in person.
Those who can’t attend the Dublin shows may resell their tickets before the Fortnight singer takes to the stage in June. Ticketmaster has officially activated resale for the Aviva Stadium concerts, however ticket transfer will not be made available until much closer to the date of the shows. Once it goes live, tickets will likely be snapped up very quickly, but fans can keep an eye on Ticketmaster HERE for official resale tickets and they could get lucky.
For those desperate to see the concert, another option to consider is ticket resale websites. Viagogo is selling Eras Tour tickets for the shows across Europe and the UK – and we have found a way to get a ticket right now with ‘unrestricted views’ for less than €200.
If you’re willing to travel outside of Ireland, fans can snag tickets this very moment to other venues. As well as Dublin, the 34-year-old is bringing the concert to UK venues in Edinburgh, Liverpool, Cardiff and London, as well as European venues in Paris, Stockholm, Lisbon, Madrid, Lyon, Amsterdam, Zurich, Milan, Gelsenkirchen, Hamburg, Munich, Warsaw and Vienna.
With four Paris shows taking place next week, some ticket holders are realising they can’t make it, and are reselling their tickets online.
We have found tickets for as little as €164 for Paris next week – which means you would get to see the show before fans attending the Dublin gigs. Considering tickets for Dublin ranged from €86 to €206, this isn’t bad value.
These €164 tickets are for night two (Friday, May 10) and boast ‘unrestricted views’ of the stage. You can check them out HERE.
There are also tickets available at the time of writing from €214 for night one (Thursday, May 9), from €175 for night three (Saturday, May 11), and from €180 for night four (Sunday, May 12).
Travelling to Paris from Ireland also isn’t too shabby. Flights from Dublin to Paris Beauvais during the week of the concert are available from as little as €53 return, according to Skyscanner. You can check them out HERE. From the airport, you can take a bus into Paris city centre for just €16 and then a cheap 20 minute train takes you straight to the arena.
These prices were available at the time of writing, and may go up or down at any time.
Last month we scoured the internet for tickets to some of the European and UK venues and rounded up the cheapest tickets available at the time of writing, for any Swifties who may want to see the Eras Tour and make a holiday out of it. You can check out the full round up HERE. Many of the venues are hosting several nights of the concert, so it might be worth exploring all the different options to find a seat within your budget. You can do so on Viagogo HERE.
A spokesperson from Viagogo previously said that there are deals to be had – with tickets for one of Taylor Swift’s UK dates selling for as low as £172. They told Express.co.uk about people’s worries over using resale tickets. They said: “The European leg of Taylor Swift’s Eras tour has been long anticipated. We’ve not seen anything like this since The Beatles and with tickets having only just gone on sale, demand is at its peak right now.
“Viagogo is a regulated marketplace where fans have the freedom to buy and sell tickets to their favourite live events, safely and securely, backed by a guarantee. Sellers on our marketplace may list tickets at high values when demand is high, but prices can change and tend to reduce over time.
“We recommend Swifties wait for demand to settle and check regularly for a listing that meets their budget. Tickets for Taylor Swift’s UK dates have already sold for as low as £172 on our platform. Also, tickets listed at eye-catchingly high levels rarely, if ever, sell.”
Sites such as Viagogo and Vivid Seats allow fans to buy resale tickets from other fans. However, it is important to note that many event promoters say tickets should not be resold after initial purchase and will not be valid for admittance to gigs.
Fans attending live events with tickets acquired through resale websites are advised to double check the ticket terms and conditions at the point of sale – such as Ticketmaster or Live Nation – to ensure a smooth live event experience. Tickets could be voided if they were found to be bought second-hand. As a result, fans are buying at their own risk.
With that said, viagogo also commented: “Viagogo is a regulated marketplace where fans have the guarantee.”
