Man bor i charmerende Bywater, hvor man skal opbygge forhold til andre hobbitter, man skal dyrke ens jord, lave mad og hjælpe med at planlægge den bedste festival for byen. Det er et stille og roligt og hyggeligt spil, om livet som hobbit. Det lyder som noget, man godt kunne trænge til i den her travle og utrygge verden.

Kelly Tyson, product manager hos Weta Workshop siger:
