Taguig shuts down 3 vape shops
MANILA, Philippines — The local government of Taguig has ordered the closure of three vape shops for violating the city’s smoke-free ordinance.
In a statement on Sunday, the city government said the vape shops located in Barangays Sta. Ana, Hagonoy and Lower Bicutan violated the perimeter requirement for selling vape products under the Comprehensive Smoke-Free Ordinance.
According to the city’s business permits and licensing office, the establishments are situated within 100 meters of schools, public playgrounds, health facilities and hospitals.
It was also discovered that the establishments were operating without business permits from the local government.
Taguig officials reminded other vape shop owners to ensure compliance with city regulations.
