Økonomisk har Rusland – med præsident Vladimir Putin i spidsen – de seneste to år været udfordret af udlandets sanktioner som følge af invasionen af Ukraine. De to lande har været i krig siden begyndelsen af 2022. Billedet er fra lørdag.

Ruslands økonomi er udfordret på flere punkter.

Det fremgår af en rapport fra en russisk tænketank. Rapporten peger på adskillige problemer i den russiske økonomi.

Blandt andet konkluderer rapporten, at Ruslands industriproduktion stagnerer, og at landets eksport af varer fortsætter med at skrumpe.

Ifølge Reuters er tænketanken – ved navn Center for Macroeconomic Analysis and Short-Term Forecasting – tæt på den russiske regering.

Rapporten peger på langsigtede problemer for den russiske økonomi og slår samtidig fast, at der er brug for løsninger “her og nu”.

Tænketanken advarer desuden om, at der er mangel på både råvarer og komponenter.

På trods af Ruslands igangværende krig i Ukraine, der har været i gang i over to år, oversteg landets økonomiske resultater sidste år forventningerne fra mange analytikere.

Men i januar og februar faldt forbrugeraktiviteten med 0,2 procentpoint, hvis man ser bort fra sæsonudsving, ifølge tænketankens data.

Derudover faldt investeringsaktiviteten for fjerde måned i træk i februar.

Det har blandt andet haft den konsekvens, at den russiske stat i dag bruger færre penge end tidligere på infrastruktur og byggeri af boliger.

Mange vestlige virksomheder har desuden trukket sig ud af det russiske marked.

Som følge af vestlige sanktioner har Rusland indført importrestriktioner, men det har været med til at skabe interne problemer i Rusland.

For flere virksomheder i landet er i høj grad afhængige af at få leveret råvarer og komponenter, lyder det fra tænketanken.

Den peger desuden på, at Rusland ikke længere kan sætte sin lid til indtægter fra energisektoren og billig arbejdskraft, når det gælder økonomisk vækst.

Det skyldes, at der er indført sanktioner mod kulbrinter. Desuden er der mangel på ansatte.

I stedet er en løsning at øge produktiviteten ved yderligere automatisering og et større brug af digital teknologi og robotter, fremgår det af rapporten.
