Sydney petrol station offering petrol at 99c per litre for two hours
A petrol station in Western Sydney is charging just 99c per litre as part of an initiative to give back to the community in the cost-of-living crisis
From 3pm to 5pm today, petrol at the Metro Petroleum in Punchbowl will cost just 99c per litre.
The initiative, by giveaway company DCT Club, will run at Punchbowl, and select Metro Petroleum stations across the country on the first Tuesday of each month, in line with the Reserve Bank of Australia’s interest rate meetings.
Owner of Metro Petroleum George Dib said the company was excited to give back to the community.
“Times are tough, there is no denying that. Wherever you look, it seems like consumers can’t get a break,” Dib said.
“In this environment, we are absolutely on board with this initiative by DCT Club to alleviate some of the cost stress in the community.”
“While interest rates continue to rise, we are proud to be providing our customers with a chance to offset some of the rising costs.”
“We’ll be ready for you all this Tuesday to mark the first event of this partnership with DCT Club.”
DCT Director Jon Tsingolis said they were committed to the initiative, despite how interest rates move each month.
“We are committed to enriching the lives of others and making their dreams come true- even something specific like reliving when petrol was 99c per litre,” Tsingolis said.
You do not need to be a DCT member to nab the cheap fuel today, there are no terms or conditions for the bargain.
