Sunway Velocity 3 residential development 60% taken up at launch
KUALA LUMPUR (May 9): The property arm of Sunway Bhd (KL:SUNWAY), Sunway Property’s newly launched Sunway Velocity 3 residential project has achieved a take-up rate of 60%, with over 400 out of 695 units snapped up during its opening weekend on May 4.
As the latest addition to the integrated Sunway Velocity Kuala Lumpur, Sunway Velocity 3 features three blocks: the first phase comprises two 61-storey serviced residence blocks (Towers A and B) sited on a 3.43-acre land, with an estimated gross development value (GDV) of RM1.28 billion. Tower A comprises 1,036 units, while Tower B will contain 568 units. Priced from RM580,000, there are three layouts: Type A (721 sq ft; two-bedroom, two-bathroom), Type B (926 sq ft; three-bedroom, two-bathroom), as well as Type C (1,076 sq ft; three+one-bedroom, two-bathroom). The 695 units launched over the weekend are from phase one.
Phase two will see a serviced residence tower (Tower C) launched at a later date.

Chong further highlighted that buyers had purchased their units in Sunway Velocity 3 for its connectivity and confidence in the development’s appreciation potential, which is driven by Sunway’s ownership and management of over 50% of the Sunway Velocity project. Sunway Velocity 3 is scheduled for completion by end-2028.
“Homebuyers will also enjoy home maintenance services through our Care+ offering, and more plans are in the pipeline to provide tenancy management services under Rent+ which will enhance the value of their units,” he added.
Sunway Velocity 3 offers direct connectivity to the Sunway Velocity Mall and Sunway Velocity TWO via link bridges. Residents enjoy seamless access to lifestyle conveniences, including Sunway Medical Centre Velocity, Sunway College @ Velocity, Sunway Velocity Hotel, retail outlets, offices and a two-acre central recreational park. All the residential units in Sunway Velocity (launched in 2011) and Sunway Velocity TWO (launched in 2018) are fully sold, while the commercial spaces are fully tenanted.
The development is directly linked to the Maluri MRT and LRT interchange stations, a short distance away from the Tun Razak Exchange financial hub, Malaysia’s international business and financial district. It is also accessible via Jalan Tun Razak, the SMART Tunnel, New Pantai Expressway, Kuala Lumpur-Seremban Expressway and Maju Expressway.
