It’s that time of the year again when we get a glimpse of how much money public sector workers are making. The Sunshine List has been released, and it includes more than 300,000 people who made more than 100,000 last year. All five highest paid people all work for Ontario Power Generation. They include CEO Ken Hardwick, who is at the top spot bringing just under $2,000,000 home. He’s followed by Dominique Minear and Michael Martelli, who also hold key jobs at the Crown corporation. Metrolink CEO Phil Verster is the eighth highest paid public worker. He made well over $800,000 while overseeing the often delayed Eglinton Crosstown LRT project. Other names on the list include Premier Doug Ford and Kieran Moore, the province’s top Dr. You might also recognize Ryan Amato’s name. He was the political staffer at the center of the Greenbelt scandal. He made just over $155,000 despite stepping down.
