Strong solar storm to bring northern lights across Canada
Well, the Northern Lights are going to be leaving behind quite a show across Canada as we go from Friday evening into the overnight for Saturday. In terms of the intensities, this is going to be a severe geometric storm, which means that it is going to be quite intense and stretch further towards the South to places like Colorado into Missouri may actually be looking at some of the intensity of this northern light. But the question is going to lie for Canada. Are the clouds going to cloud the view or are we going to see clear skies well across areas of Western Canada, luckily with the Ridge built into place? Most areas will be seeing clear skies, some high level clouds expected for areas like Grand Prairie also into Fort McMurray, but most regions will be looking at clear conditions. Now across the east, a little bit of a different story and a bit more of a tricky forecast. Areas across cottage country may see some clouds starting to roll in, however for Nova Scotia into the Avalon, cloud cover is going to be persisting, but nonetheless it is going to be a beautiful day, or rather night to get out and enjoy the lights.
