How are you guys keeping up with the cost of living these days? Working my butt off? It’s getting to the point where you can’t really afford too much anymore. It’s like you’re getting paid and you’re just paying your rent in garages. Are you doing anything differently in your life to keep up? Yeah, well, we’ve got that big time. Just moving my priorities around. Like what? Yeah, privileging things like food in a way that I didn’t used to, actually over experiences or travel. Taking advantage of the market, which I live very close to, which is lucky. So just sort of foregoing other expenses. I can’t afford a car, so I take the bus to school. We have to park both for work just to save for gas. Gas for sure has been a big issue for us. What kind of things would you like the federal government to address when it brings down the budget? Make the cost of living a lot less so that people can have fun at the same time as they have to work? Get rid of the carbon tax. We have enough taxes. We don’t need a carbon tax. Everybody in this province is suffering because of the cost of living right now. I’d like for the government to address to address this wasteful spending. I mean, if you look at, if you look at the news these days, there’s money to lower going out to the door, out the door. There doesn’t seem to be anything to address the the cost of living, especially for seniors. I’d like for them to keep the cost of food down and to keep the cost of fuel down. If they just lowered even the price of groceries by like a little, that would help a lot. Honestly, it would really benefit a lot of people. Food is getting way too expensive, way too expensive. I think housing is a big issue. Affordability of housing, being able to own anything. You can’t own anything anymore. The rent’s been way too high. It’s insane. Like I don’t think I’ll ever be able to move anywhere in here controlling the rent because a lot of people just overcharge. I want to see the housing, I mean a lot more committed to housing, to go to provide affordable housing to Canadians. Mortgage has gone up. I’m paying for property taxes too, so that’s gone up and and the wages are the same. I’m looking for apartment for rent. Me and my wife, it’s very hard to find it. They bring a lots of people here refugees and etcetera. Shouldn’t they don’t have where to live? No apartment. It’s it’s it’s very hard. I hope the government will change something very soon but it’s not right now. It’s it’s hard for all of people. We expect better from the government in terms of job opportunities. There are a lot of jobs there, but not necessarily for migrants when they come here and also even for Canadians as well. I really expect them to do something like to get more job and you know, like more opportunities. I want them to deal with reality. I want them not to be the people in, the people across who are blaming. That’s all the table at this time, this table or I want them to see actual people who are actually hurting.
