Souths receive dual boost for Anzac Day

Jason Demetriou’s pre match press conference lasted a lot longer than his last. It was over in under 30 seconds, the arrival of former assistant David Ferner during the bye week helping to take some pressure off the Rabbitohs head coach. It allows me to have a bit more of a focus on the things I need to control and we share very similar philosophy and how we go about things. But yeah, having him controlling and having some work with the the forwards in particular allows me to free up on our edges. And yeah, it’s just been good if he’s been a great addition to what’s already a strong coaching team. In a double boost for the Bunnies, Jai Arrow returns from a shoulder injury, while Damien Cook has been recalled after being dropped for just one game. I thought he handled that really well. I was really honest. In that conversation and honest in how he handled going back to to new sales cup. But now we’ve got an opportunity to have a A2 hooker system with two hookers that are very different in how they play the game, but can complement each other really well. And and that’s the mindset we need to take into to the not only this week, but for the rest of the season and using that as an asset for us. South Sydney will wear a Navy inspired jersey in their showdown against the Storm, who are Anzac Day specialists. You gotta expect the best. Yeah, awesome. And obviously there you’ve got a lot of talented players in that team. So as you say, they’ve had the buy so they’ve had a chance to regroup and, you know, build their energy up. And Melbourne hasn’t been a happy hunting ground for the Rabbitohs in the past. Tomorrow night the Bunnies will be hoping to snap an 18 game losing run against the Storm. In Melbourne.
