ROSA, Laguna: The Chery Tiggo Crossovers tuned their engines and continued to drive swiftly to pick up their sixth consecutive win after a 25-17, 25-20, 25-17 victory against the Akari Chargers in the Premier Volleyball League (PVL) 2024 All-Filipino Conference at the Sta. Rosa Sports Complex in Laguna on Saturday, April 20.
Chery Tiggo is now in a four-way tie with Creamline, Choco Mucho, and Petro Gazz with 8-2 identical win-loss records.
Eya Laure fired 17 points (9 attacks, 3 blocks, and 2 aces) to lead the scoring for the Crossovers, while Aby Maraño was hailed as the player of the game after putting up seven points built on five attacks, a block, and an ace.
Ara Galang also showed her vintage form as she churned out nine markers.
On Akari’s side, Princess Madrigal was the sole double-digit scorer of the squad with 10 points as Erika Raagas added eight markers.
Chery Tiggo will continue their quest to make it to the next round as they will face Galeries on Thursday, April 25, at the PhilSports Arena.
