Yesterday evening and overnight, the Russian aggressor attacked the territory of Ukraine with Shahed kamikaze drones from the area of Primorsko-Akhtarsk (RF), according to the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
“On the night of January 22, 2024, the enemy launched an attack with 8 unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) of the Shahed-136/131 type from the area of the Russian city of Primorsko-Akhtarsk. All eight Shaheds were destroyed by anti-aircraft missile units and mobile fire groups of the Air Force and Defense Forces of Ukraine,” according to the report.
The anti-aircraft defense operated within the boundaries of the:
Mykolaiv region Kherson region Dnipropetrovsk region Kirovohrad region.
Attack on Ukraine on January 21
On the evening of Sunday, January 21, the Russian Federation once again launched unmanned aerial vehicles of the Shahed type into the territory of Ukraine. An alert was declared in the Kherson, Dnipropetrovsk, and Mykolaiv regions.
Additionally, the Russian forces increased the number of missile carriers in the Black Sea.
