Nottingham Forest concern raised after Blackpool win sets up Bristol City FA Cup tie

nottingham forest concern raised after blackpool win sets up bristol city fa cup tie

Nottingham Forest’s Ryan Yates and Blackpool’s CJ Hamilton battle for the ball during the Emirates FA Cup Third Round replay at Bloomfield Road.

Nottingham Forest edged past Blackpool 3-2 in their FA Cup fourth round replay on Wednesday evening.

Andrew Omobamidele got the Reds off to a perfect start just after the 15-minute mark before Danilo gave Forest a commanding 2-0 lead early in the second half. But the hosts responded as goals from Albie Morgan and Kyle Joseph drew Blackpool level.

Neither side could be separated as the tie went to extra time before Chris Wood poked home the winning goal late on to set up a fourth round clash at Bristol City.

Here is what some Forest fans had to say on social media after the match…

James Hemingray: *Scraped through* could have done without that before Saturday but a win is a win.

Archie Limb: Could have done without the extra time but well played lads.

LowerBridgMart: Well done lads, classic cup game. Credit to Blackpool, No VAR & got over the line. Some good performances.

Beenie: Bristol will be quaking in their boots.

Davo M: All that to win a trip to Bristol City.

Chris Clarke: Made very hard work of it but just about got there in the end! Onto Bristol City now. Would be nice if we can have a decent cup run this year.

James Smith: Dominguez and Yates are brilliant and the young CB looks promising. Aguilera looks a player as well. Think the keeper has got glue on his boots!

Henrik NFFC Johansen: A win is a win, and on to Bristol, and knowing Forest, well, we’ll probably struggle there… Too much hard work tonight, too many injuries, and it could be costly on Saturday where it really matters, but that’s the beauty of the cup… YOU REDS!
