Seven nabbed for fighting over Ramadan bazaar lot in PJ
PETALING JAYA: Seven individuals were detained for fighting over a Ramadan bazaar stall site at a housing area here.
Petaling Jaya OCPD Asst Comm Shahrulnizam Ja’afar said police received a report on the fighting at the bazaar at 3.26pm on Wednesday (March 27).
“Police personnel were dispatched to the scene and arrested four men and three women aged between their 20s and 40s.
“We believe they were fighting over a stall site at the bazaar,” he said in a statement on Thursday (March 28).
Several items were seized including a fork lock and a plastic chair, he said.
“Four of those detained had prior criminal records.
“All those detained have been remanded until Friday (March 29),” he added.
ACP Shahrulnizam urged those with information on the case to contact PJ police at 03-79662222.
“We will investigate the matter further under Section 148 of the Penal Code,” he said.
