MANILA South Harbor handled two prestigious international cruise ships — the Westerdam and the NCL Norwegian Jewel — recently, showing the port’s efficiency and capability in handling large-scale maritime traffic.

The NCL Norwegian Jewel made its return from Boracay, carrying 2,376 passengers. It occupied Berths 4 and 5 at Pier 15 of the Manila South Harbor.
The Westerdam, hailing from Taiwan, anchored at Berths 1 and 2, Pier 15. It had 1,970 passengers.
The cruise ships’ arrival underscores Manila’s allure as a prime tourist destination. Passengers were greeted by a fleet of 50 buses stationed at the port, poised to transport them to various tourist attractions in the city.
