Selangor Perikatan Nasional chairman Azmin Ali had claimed that the Selangor government cancelled a Hari Raya Aidilfitri open house which Bersatu had planned for Sunday.
PETALING JAYA: An aide to Selangor menteri besar Amirudin Shari today denied claims by Selangor Perikatan Nasional chairman Azmin Ali that the state government had cancelled a Hari Raya Aidilfitri open house planned by Bersatu for Sunday.
In a Facebook post last night, Azmin claimed that the state government had cancelled the open house to be hosted by Bersatu at the Ara Trade Center in Batang Kali, Hulu Selangor.
He did not say why the state government had not allowed the event to proceed.
Speaking to FMT, Amirudin’s press secretary Jay Jay Denis explained that the venue had already been reserved for another event.
“Azmin should take responsibility for his inefficient last-minute planning for a Raya open house instead of wrongly accusing the state government,” he said.
Azmin has since updated his Facebook post to state that the open house will proceed on Sunday at the Fraser Valley Kuala Kubu Baharu recreation centre in Kuala Kubu Baharu, Hulu Selangor.
