‘Sabotage’: Chinese-backed hackers are a ‘very serious issue’
Chinese-backed hackers ‘Volt Typhoon’ pose a “very serious issue”, says Shadow Home Affairs and Cyber Security Minister James Paterson.
“There is no reason why a state-backed hacking group would be targeting civilian infrastructure,” Mr Paterson told Sky News hosts Danica De Giorgio and James Macpherson.

“Things like the power network, water, gas and other utilities.
“There’s no reason why they would not need to be trying to establish a presence on those networks.
“Except one reason and that’s sabotage.”
