There’s a snowy surprise in the forecast for some parts of of the country next week. WX Charts shows that parts of Scotland will see the most snow on February 24.

Residents in the North East of England might see more than four inches of snowfall every hour that night. And, if it’s cold enough, residents of Greater Manchester and large chunks of the North West could wake up to a wintery scene the next day.

Heavy snowfall is expected throughout the evening in places like Stirling, the Scottish Highlands and Aberdeenshire. The Met office tells us that from February 26, the chances of a snowy shower is increasing, reports the Mirror.

They’ve said: “During late February and early March, there is a higher than normal likelihood of northerly or easterly winds dominating, which would increase the chance of colder and drier than average conditions. Spells of milder and wetter weather are still likely to occur at times, especially in the south and southwest, with the potential for snow on the boundary between milder and colder air.”

Jonathan Vautrey, a forecaster from the Met Office, has warned of a chilly start to the week. He mentioned that showers will keep coming from the west, particularly across the northwest of the UK, turning into sleet and snow over high ground. However, it’ll be brighter elsewhere, especially in the southeast.
