On the night of March 27-28, Russian troops attacked Ukraine with three types of missiles and attack drones. The Ukrainian Air Defense Forces destroyed 26 Shaheds, according to the Ukrainian Air Force.
“On the night of March 28, 2024, the enemy launched an air strike on Ukraine using three Kh-22 cruise missiles and a Kh-31P anti-radar missile (from the Black Sea), an S-300 anti-aircraft guided missile (Donetsk region) and 28 Shahed-136/131 attack drones (launch area – Kursk region of the Russian Federation, Cape Chauda – Crimea),” the Ukrainian Air Force says in a statement.
The anti-aircraft missile units of the Ukrainian Air Force, mobile fire groups, and electronic warfare equipment of the Ukrainian Defense Forces were involved in repelling the attack.
In total, the air defense forces destroyed 26 Shahed-136/131 attack drones in Odesa, Kharkiv, Dnipro, and Zaporizhzhia regions.
Russian attack on Ukraine on night of March 27-28
Russian troops attacked Ukraine with Shahed attack drones last night from March 27 to 28. The Ukrainian Air Force reports that the drones first flew into Ukrainian airspace from the Kursk region of the Russian Federation to the Sumy region, heading for Kharkiv.
