Ukraine receives Patriot missiles from Allies – Spanish Defense Minister

Ukraine has already received missiles for the Patriot air defense system, which were sent by Spain and other Western allies, according to Spanish Defense Minister Margarita Robles.

Robles announced that Ukraine had received air defense missiles during her visit to the Sangenis barracks and the Orad y Gajías General Military Hospital in Zaragoza, where Ukrainian soldiers are trained.

“These missiles are for air defense, and it should be very clear that they are for Ukraine to protect itself from the attacks it is suffering from Russia,” she explained.

EU drafts 14th sanctions package against Russia, including LNG restrictions

The European Commission has sent the members of the European Union a draft of the 14th package of sanctions against Russia. It will include restrictions on liquefied natural gas (LNG) imports, reports Polskie Radio 24.

Earlier, it was reported that the European Commission proposed to limit the import of liquefied natural gas from Russia but did not plan to impose a complete embargo on it. This involves banning the transshipment of Russian LNG in European ports from where it is subsequently shipped worldwide.

The agency notes that Belgium and its port of Zeebrugge are leaders in this area, but France and Spain are also among the largest recipients of Russian LNG. The import ban will also affect EU terminals that are not part of the European gas network.

Irresponsible rhetoric: Pentagon reacts to Russia’s upcoming nuclear weapons exercises

Russia’s plans to conduct nuclear exercises are another example of the Kremlin’s irresponsible rhetoric, states the Pentagon spokesman, Air Force Brigadier General Pat Ryder.

According to him, the United States has not observed any changes in “strategic force posture” after Moscow announced tactical nuclear weapons exercises.

It’s “an example of the kind of irresponsible rhetoric that we’ve seen from Russia in the past,” said Ryder.

Ukraine sees no grounds to recognize Putin as legitimate President of RF – MFA

The inauguration ceremony of Vladimir Putin as the President of the Russian Federation is a way to create an illusion of legitimacy for his almost lifelong stay in power, both for the world and for the Russian people, according to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine.

In the Ukrainian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, it was stated that during the so-called March elections, the Russian Federation violated numerous international documents that serve as the foundation for the modern system of international relations.

“Based on the foregoing and the International Criminal Court’s active arrest warrant for Vladimir Putin, Ukraine sees no legal basis for recognizing him as the democratically elected and legitimate president of the Russian Federation,” stated the Ukrainian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
