Well Cynthia, it was cool at least today across the GTA below seasonal temperatures, but we are expecting a significant warm up come this weekend. The only unfortunate part is there is a bit of wet weather, so we’ll have to closely watch radar, especially heading into tomorrow late afternoon, early evening. The risk is certainly there, but a look at the current winds because they are going to be again breezy right through this evening. Out of the east, they’ve been gusting between 20 to 40 kilometers per hour, which is exactly why it is slightly cooler if you are right along the Lake Shore communities. Toronto Island only 9° down towards Hamilton Burlington area 6 to 8°C right now. But as you move further north and West of the city, yes, things are a little bit better and we are dry. We’ve had a whole lot of sunshine through this afternoon, which is nice. Still very quiet weather across Southern Ontario, but this is what we’re watching. And that will tie into our weather story as we get through this through this weekend, really both Saturday and Sunday, because that area of low pressure will continue to bring the risk of showers, even some thunderstorms tonight, mostly cloudy 9° and the risk of some early morning showers as we push into 89 AM across the West End of Lake Ontario. It does continue as on and off rain showers for tomorrow afternoon, but as we get into the dinner hour 5-6 PM it looks like a lot of that shower activity does push towards our E We even get into some clear breaks, but again a lots of unsettled on and off rain showers continue as we get into Sunday. Temperature wise, I mentioned a warm up, yet things are going to be back above seasonal 15° N of the GTA, 16 in Berry, 19 in Hamilton. But again, if you are right along the lake shores, because of this flow off of the water it is going to be slightly cooler. So pack that extra sweater if you can. If you are by the water and rainbow totals, this extends into our Sunday about 1015mm give or take. But again we’re watching for that threat of thunderstorms so we do see thunderstorms. The risk of more rainfall is definitely there. Sunday, possibly the warmest day so far this year. The temperature to beat at Toronto Pearson is 20.6°C, so it looks like we’ll get there. Keep in mind that is downtown Toronto. We could be warmer, hitting 25 plus away from the water, and it’s going to be slightly unsettled but still warm to start off the work week.
