Princess Amalia, who has inherited her mother’s long blond locks, wore a turquoise dress beneath a belted cream jacket.

She completed the look with a trendy miniature gold handbag.

King Felipe of Spain and King Willem-Alexander, who were yesterday pictured playing basketball in their suits, didn’t let their wives down.

The two men looked smart in their suits, with King Felipe opting for a black number with a pale pink tie and King Willem-Alexander choosing blue.

Yesterday Queen Maxima of the Netherlands and Queen Letizia of Spain both wowed in their pink ensembles in Amsterdam.

The royals looked in high spirits as they visited Lab6, a centre in Amsterdam where cultural, sporting and other activities are organised by and for young people from the ages of 12 to 23.

The fashionable duo were on top form and coordinated their stunning outfits to match each other for the visit.

Queen Letizia wowed crowds in a smart oversized fuchsia coat which she was stylishly draped over her shoulders.

The 51-year-old put her best fashion foot forward by sporting a slim-fit cherry red dress which featured flared short sleeves and a modest high-neck. The frock cinched in at the waist, showing off her elegant figure.

The former journalist opted for hot pink pointed kitten heels, simple silver diamond dangly earrings and  a matching magenta shoulder bag.

Letizia wore her chocolate tresses down in a sleek, straight blowdry and matched her makeup to her ensemble, donning pink eyeshadow and a hint of blush.

Both her and Maxima spoke to young people and youth workers from similar organisations about the young people’s mental health and the importance of having  easily accessible walk-in centres to assist them.

Maxima looked every inch the Queen of the Netherlands in a pastel pink sparkly pink coat dress with ruffle detailing.

The royal’s frock also had a large matching belt which highlighted her sophisticated figure. For accessories, Maxima opted for classic nude-coloured heels, a hairband that matched her dress and a small clutch that coordinated well with her ensemble.

The mother-of-three showcased her bling and chose to wear a watch and several silver diamond bracelets, along with four rings and a pair of large glitzy earrings.

Similar to Letizia, the royal opted for a pink-themed makeup look and wore her wavy blonde hair down.

The radiant pair posed for photos together and were pictured chatting as they sat down to listen to officials speaking at the event.

The Queens were also given a tour of Lab6 and saw the activities that they offer to young people.

Yesterday, Willem-Alexander thanked King Felipe and Queen Letizia for ‘a touching show of friendship at a difficult time’ – after they ‘helped arrange’ his daughter’s year-long stay in Madrid amid kidnapping fears.

The Dutch royals were hosting the Spanish royals for a glitzy state banquet at the Royal Palace in Amsterdam yesterday, as part of their two-day state visit to the country.

Princess Amalia, who was making her debut at her first-ever state banquet in the Dutch capital, also joined them.

It was revealed earlier in the day that the princess had fled to Spain to escape threats to her safety by organised crime groups in the Netherlands and studied in Madrid for more than a year, according to a report by local media.
