PVL: Denden Lazaro-Revilla delivers for Creamline vs former team

MANILA, Philippines — Creamline’s new libero Denden Lazaro-Revilla was all business against her former team Choco Mucho, staying focused on their goal to boost their semifinal bid in the 2024 PVL All-Filipino Conference.

Revilla’s floor defense was on point with 17 excellent receptions out of 25 attempts as Creamline asserted its mastery of sister team Choco Mucho, 25-17, 25-22, 25-19, on Thursday evening in front of in front of 17,396 fans at Smart Araneta Coliseum.

“In a way, it feels weird because it’s kinda fresh. Ilang months pa lang kami with Creamline. When we’re inside the court, it’s all business. Outside, we’re happy for one another,” said Revilla, who played for Choco Mucho in the past three seasons before transferring to Creamline this year.

The ace libero was locked in as Creamline needed the win to bolster its semifinal bid, tying its sister team on top with an 8-2 record

“I’m very happy that we got this win today. Very crucial win for us, especially going to the semis. This win boosts our chances and at the same time, our momentum moving forward,” said Revilla.

Revilla feels at home with the Cool Smashers, playing with her former Ateneo teammates Alyssa Valdez, Bea De Leon, and Ella De Jesus.
