Independent Senator Jacqui Lambie says Australia needs to make its message to asylum seekers “loud and clear” after a group of over 40 people was sent to Nauru after landing by boat in Western Australia.
“I think we need to make it very clear to people around the world there that if you do come in here, you will be put on offshore detention and you will not be settled in Australia under any circumstances,” she told Sky News Australia.
