Popeyes launches two new limited-edition menu items for spice lovers

Popeyes are launching two sizzling items to its menu across UK stores today.

The New Orleans-born chicken brand is spicing things up with the addition of two new limited-edition menu items: the Buffalo Ranch Chicken Sandwich and Buffalo Saucin’ Wings.

The mouth-watering Buffalo Ranch Chicken sandwich brings a spicy twist to Popeyes’ famous Chicken Sandwich, blending tangy Buffalo with the flavours of cooling Ranch.

Featuring a crunchy fried chicken fillet marinated for 12 hours in Popeyes’ signature blend of Louisiana herbs and spices, the sandwich is then slathered with hot Buffalo sauce, cooling Ranch, and fresh pickles and nestled in a warm brioche bun.

Meanwhile, following their success with fans in the US, the fiery Buffalo Saucin’ Wings marks the first time sauced wings have graced Popeyes restaurant and drive-thru menus in the UK.

Available in 5, 8, or 12 wings – or as part of a meal, including fries and a drink – the wings are a must-try for fans looking to spice up their order.

Drizzled in a Popeyes house-developed, tangy Buffalo sauce for a poppin’ kick of heat, the Buffalo Saucin’ Wings are packed with a burst of flavour in every bite.

But that’s not all – also joining the Popeyes UK menu is the succulent and smoky Louisiana BBQ Wrap.

This tasty wrap is made with succulent Popeyes chicken tenders, bold BBQ sauce and smoked cheese, all wrapped in a soft tortilla.

The mouth-watering new menu items will be available at all Popeyes restaurants and drive-thrus nationwide and for delivery across all sites from today, Tuesday 19th March.

Dave Hoskins, Head of Food at Popeyes UK said: ‘We are excited to announce the launch of Popeyes Buffalo Ranch Chicken Sandwich and Buffalo Saucin’ Wings.

‘This marks the first time sauced wings have appeared on Popeyes’ restaurant and drive-thru menus in the UK following their success with fans in the US.’

He added: ‘Both the sandwich and wings are made with our in-house developed sauces, created by our team following fan requests for more Popeyes flavour combos.

Joining the Popeyes UK menu is the Louisiana BBQ Wrap, made with succulent Popeyes chicken tenders, bold BBQ sauce and smoked cheese, and all wrapped in a soft tortilla

‘Designed to be tangy with a tingle of heat, and paired with cooling Ranch, we’re confident that both new additions will get the nation’s taste buds poppin’ – and we can’t wait for people to try them.’

The launch of the smoky and spicy menu editions at Popeyes comes hot on the heels of the nationwide roll-out of Popeyes Brekkie Menu.

Fans won’t have to wait until lunch or dinnertime to sink their teeth into Cajun-seasoned eats, because Popeyes launched an extensive breakfast menu across UK sites in February.

Designed to shake up the UK grab-and-go breakfast scene, the menu features a mouth-watering range of breakfast favourites with a New Orleans twist, including breakfast rolls, muffins, biscuits and Cajun Hash Browns.

Bringing a New Orleans spin to the nation’s favourite breakfast classics, the menu will contain a whopping 22 items to choose from, including the star of the show: the flavoursome Big Cajun Breakfast Roll, which is available for £4.99.
