Tamrin 'ready to face court' over blog post
KUALA LUMPUR: Former Batu Berendam MP Datuk Mohd Tamrin Abdul Ghafar (pic) will answer all questions in court, his lawyer says.
Muhammad Rafique Rashid Ali, when met outside Bukit Aman, said his client fully cooperated with police when his statement was recorded from 10.45am Tuesday (April 16).
“Investigations are ongoing and we will give them space to conclude (the probe).
“Tamrin cooperated fully and the angle of the investigation was only focused on the article he had written stating DAP (would be) the masters of this land in 10 years, a prediction that he made.
“Tamrin is ready to face the court,” he added.
Tamrin also challenged Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim and his senior political secretary Datuk Seri Shamsul Iskandar Mohd Akin to file police reports and take legal action against the blog post he made.
“If it was slander then say so and sue me … bring me to court.
“It’s as simple as that,” said Tamrin, the son of former deputy prime minister Tun Abdul Ghafar Baba.
