Petro Gazz ready face Choco Mucho

After an impressive season debut on Tuesday, the Petro Gazz Angels are ready to spread their wings when they take on heavy favorite Choco Mucho Flying Titans at 5 p.m. on Thursday, February 22, 2024.
Petro Gazz with its new head coach Koji Tsuzurabara made a successful Premier Volleyball League (PVL) debut after taking down the Strong Group Athletics in straight sets, 25-12, 25-20, 25-12, at the Phil Sports Arena on Tuesday.
Next for Petro Gazz is Choco Mucho and Tsuzurabara said the Angels are “up for the challenge.”
“I am so happy to face Choco Mucho. That team is strong and we are challengers. We are excited,” Tzurabara said.
The Angels are known for defying the odds after taking down the unbeaten Cignal HD Spikers in the finals of the PNVF Champions League.
New Petro Gazz member Brooke Van Sickle who made a much introduction in the pre-season tournament, bagging the Most Valuable Player (MVP) and the best outside hitter awards shared that she knows that Choco Mucho is a great team, and they have to work extra hard.
“Choco Mucho, they are a very good team. We expect a very good fight, and we have to work extra hard and continue to build that team chemistry. Hopefully, our training can help us with that,” Van Sickle said.
“In our season opener, we made a lot of errors, so we expect to work on that as we face Choco Mucho.”
The Flying Titans, who made a finals appearance in the PVL All-Filipino Conference signed new players Mars Alba, Bia General, Royse Tubino, and Mean Mendrez after the departure of Bea De Leon and Denden Lazara who are both with Creamline now.
