Peter Dutton slams the Prime Minister over handling of Australia’s borders
Opposition leader Peter Dutton has slammed Prime Minister Anthony Albanese over the government’s handling of Australian borders.
This comes after a group of men were detained by the Australian Border Force after they were caught in mangroves attempting to enter Australia illegally.
“I just think when the Australian government says that they’re in favour of Operation Sovereign Borders, it’s not the Coalition’s version of Operation Sovereign Borders, supported by the Prime Minister,” Mr Dutton said during a media conference on Wednesday.

“I just don’t think the Prime Minister’s got the backbone to stand up to people smugglers or our adversaries or others who would seek to do us harm.
“The Prime Minister should be showing leadership, and he’s not.”
