Patrick Beverley was suspended 4 games but he'll have to find a new team before it even matters

Roughly a week after melting down at the end of the Milwaukee Bucks’ season — which led to him unnecessarily berating an ESPN reporter over not subscribing to his podcast — Patrick Beverley will finally face some consequences for both situations at the end of a tense affair in Indianapolis.
On Thursday, the NBA revealed that the guard would be suspended four games for his antics with Indiana fans and the said ESPN media member. It’s not entirely clear how the league came to the conclusion that Beverley got four games. For example, Jamal Murray threw objects near a referee and technically didn’t get anything but a substantial fine.
It is nonetheless a well-deserved punishment for someone who dangerously threw things at fans and made all the wrong headlines in a nationally televised spot.

The real rub of this suspension is that Beverley’s contract with the Bucks is up. He is set to be an unrestricted free agent at the age of 35. Given his age, how little he contributes on offense, and some of his approach to “professionalism,” it’s hard seeing any team chomping at the bit to add an older Beverley to their mix.
On that note, and I really mean this in all seriousness — at least he has more time to focus on trying to get more brazen podcast subscriptions.
