The South African inside source has spoken about the potential positional incomings and outgoings at Orlando Pirates.
“Orlando Pirates will look to add one foreign goalkeeper but a goalkeeper from a KZN-club could be possible.
“Also one centre-back or a left-back, depending on who leaves and what position becomes more important.
“Then two forwards of which one is foreign and one local. With this, they will try to promote two players from the DStv Diski team. They are potentially looking at bringing in a scout to add to the technical team. Of course they have to offload players too. Four players are currently in danger of leaving which includes Kermit Erasmus and Thabang Monare.
“The club captain Innocent Maela is also a person of interest, I am told talks about his future could happen soon.”
Pirates players in danger of leaving Soweto giants
Kermit Erasmus: Erasmus’ battle with injuries and competition has left him vulnerable. He signed a two year deal in 2022. The club haven’t opened talks with him and his contract is ending at the end of the season. His last goal was against Cape Town Spurs in the Carling Black Label Cup last year in October.
Thabang Monare: Has only played two games since the AFCON, this in conjunction with his contract ending and the rise of SuperSport United loanee Thalente Mbatha. The future looks bleak at Pirates. No new contract is on the table at the moment too.
