On Lalu’s ‘no family’ remarks, Modi says ‘140 crore Indians are my family’

Prime Minister Narendra Modi said Opposition leaders, who were deeply engrossed in corruption, nepotism and appeasement, are becoming nervous now, and have started saying that Modi has no family.

Addressing a mega rally in Adilabad, Telangana, Modi said, ”The leaders of the INDI alliance, deeply engrossed in corruption, nepotism and appeasement, are becoming nervous. Now they have released their real manifesto for the 2024 elections. When I question their ‘Pariwarvaad’, these people have now started saying that Modi has no family.”

Yesterday, RJD leader Lalu Prasad claimed that Prime Minister Modi “is not a real Hindu” as he did not get his head shaved when his mother Heeraba Modi died in 2022. Lalu also said said that ”Modi has no family…”

Addressing the crowd, Modi went on to say ”Tomorrow they can also say that you have never been sentenced to jail, hence you cannot enter politics.”

He said 140 crore countrymen were his family.

”Today, crores of daughters, mothers and sisters of the country are Modi’s family. Every poor person in the country is my family. Those who have no one, they also belong to Modi and Modi belongs to them. My India-My family, with the expansion of these feelings, I am living for you, fighting for you and will continue to fight for you, to fulfill my dreams with determination.”

He said “This is not an election rally like my critics would like to call. This is a celebration of the festival of development all across India. The poll dates have not been even declared yet.”

Modi said, “…Even after several decades post-independence, the contribution made by the people of Telangana was never given due respect. After 2014, the BJP Government at the Centre gave great importance to the development of Telangana and the honour of the tribal community.

”Could anyone have imagined that a tribal woman would become the President of the country?…Could anyone have imagined that the birth anniversary of Bhagwan Birsa Munda would be celebrated as a national festival? For the development of tribals, the BJP Government formed a separate ministry.”

“This is not an election rally. I am here to celebrate the ‘Festival of Progress,” he added

PM Modi will inaugurate, dedicate and lay the foundation stone of several projects in Adilabad, Telangana.
