Ohio State Loses Former Top-Ranked LB Recruit to Transfer Portal
The Ohio State Buckeyes’ linebacker room just took a hit in the depth department.
On Tuesday, On3Sports’ Pete Nakos reported that former four-star recruit and linebacker Nigel Glover entered the transfer portal.
Glover initially committed to Northwestern out of high school, however, transferred to Ohio State after Wildcats head coach Pat Fitzgerald was fired this past summer.
He’s now back in the portal for a second straight year.
Despite being the highest-ranked recruit in Northwestern’s 2023 class, Glover did not find any playing time after transferring to Ohio State this past fall and ultimately took a redshirt year.
247Sports’ No. 25-ranked linebacker in the 2023 cycle, Glover will likely draw plenty of interest while in the portal.
Nakos reports that both Kentucky and Michigan were ‘in the mix’ for Glover before he landed in Columbus this past summer.
