Off-field ‘noise’ affecting Melbourne Rebels players
There’s a lot of off field noise about the Melbourne Rebels at the moment. Players are humans. How do you guys galvanise? Is it, is it helping you or is it hurting you? Like how do you deal with it? Do you ignore it? Do you talk about and get on with it? Yeah it’s it’s tough to ignore. Obviously some boys are a bit more wide than other boys but that’s just kind of how it is and we do our best to come together and focus on the rugby and put the game front of the line. But yeah look it’s it does get to some boys and yeah we’re doing our best to come together and and play our best rugby as well as he mentioned that that off field. Distraction and there is obviously uncertainty for everyone here at the Rebels in terms of where you’re going next. You personally. There was a report during the week about where your future might go. Some talks held with the Titans. Can you give us a bit of insight into how how you’re trying to plan for where you go next. How serious is looking at the NRL as an option? Yeah look there’s I’m not too sure. I think there’s just a few options. Don’t know what’s happening with the Rebels yet so hopefully get a bit more, get a bit more clear stuff on that and. Yeah, look, we’ll just go from there. I know a guy who went from rugby to the Gold Coast Titans. Wasn’t, wasn’t a bad move, Just quietly. Look, I tried to go to the Tigers, They didn’t want me. But it’s mixed and I understand I players have to go and look around there. They’ve got to go and do it like this. Here’s a play sitting here at a club that might not be here next year. I’d love to see him stay in the game.
