Liverpool have learned how much they may need to fork out if they want to sign Sporting CP winger Marcus Edwards this summer.
The exciting attacker has been linked with a potential switch to Anfield in recent days, and he’s not the only Sporting star being touted with a move to Merseyside.
Many of said links stem from the growing expectation that current Sporting boss Ruben Amorim will succeed Jurgen Klopp as Liverpool boss come the end of the season, although that is far from confirmed.

However, there have been reports suggesting that Amorim would be keen on bringing some players with him should he make the move to Liverpool, with Edwards perhaps one of them.
LIVERPOOL LEARN MARCUS EDWARDS PRICE TAG
According to Football Insider, Edwards would set Liverpool back just £30m this summer – a potentially appetising price tag for a player with great talent.
The 25-year-old Englishman began his career at Tottenham before making the move to Vitoria de Guimaraes on a free transfer in 2019, followed by a move to Sporting in January 2022.
The attacker has impressed playing on either wing for the Lisbon club, bagging six goals and providing eight assists in all competitions as Sporting compete for a domestic double.
Liverpool are expected to target wingers this summer, especially if either Luis Diaz or Mohamed Salah were to leave, and Edwards would be an interesting addition – especially given he technically classes as homegrown.
However, there have been no concrete reports of Liverpool’s interest in the forward, whose rumoured switch to Anfield would undoubtedly be dependent on Amorim’s future.
The Reds have been linked with plenty of Sporting players amid their interest in Amorim, including the likes of Goncalo Inacio, Ousmane Diomande and Viktor Gyokeres.
