NT teenager wins million dollar fish competition
A 19 year old fish show from Catherine is now $1,000,000 richer after reeling in a prized barramundi in the territory. Keegan Payne was out fishing early on Sunday morning when a 67 centimeter Barra changed his life. It was a quick but mighty battle with the fish, one that has certainly made a splash. At first the red tag signalling the win went unnoticed, but his sister, with her razor sharp eyesight, pointed out what so many people had been on the hunt for. Yeah we were freaking out when nearly crashed the boat, getting back to the boat ramp. But yeah, it feels good. The Catherine local wasting no time purchasing what so many could dream of. Well I’m buying a new boat, the Salvo and maybe the Sabo and a new car. So more than 90 prized fish have been claimed since the competition began in 2015. But this the 1st $1,000,000. The competition for this season isn’t over yet. Almost $110,000 fish remain out in territory waterways that can still go off until midnight tonight.
