Will Ferrell will be starring in his first TV show, a scripted comedy named Golf for Netflix.
The news about the 56-year-old performer's foray into television as a lead performer was revealed on Wednesday.
He will serve alongside Ramy Youssef and Josh Rabinowitz as one of the program's co-creators, according to Deadline.
The actor - who is currently set to appear alongside Reese Witherspoon in You're Cordially Invited - is set to portray a veteran golfer who becomes the face of a controversial new league.
Details about the character that Youssef, 33, is set to play, are currently being kept under wraps.

The news about the 56-year-old performer's foray into television as a lead performer was revealed on Wednesday, and he will serve alongside Ramy Youssef and Josh Rabinowitz as one of the program's co-creators, according to Deadline
The show will see Ferrell returning to the sports comedy genre, which he explored in Semi-Pro and Blades Of Glory.
Youssef and Rabinowitz are currently set to serve as the upcoming project's showrunners.
The pair will also serve as the show's executive producers alongside the Step Brothers star and Glass Onion director Rian Johnson.
However, the filmmaker is not expected to write or direct any of the upcoming show's episodes.
The actor is also an active golfer, and has hosted a charity tournament known as The Will Powered Golf Classic in the past.
Golf will made its official debut on the Netflix streaming service at an unspecified point in the future.
Ferrell is also preparing for the release of the upcoming animated feature Despicable Me 4, in which he will voice supervillain Maxime Le Mal.
The film will serve as a follow-up to Despicable Me 3, which made its debut in 2017.

The movie will see Steve Carrell, Kristen Wiig and Steve Coogan returning to voice Gru, Lucy Wilde and Silas Ramsbottom, respectively.
The cast of the movie will also be rounded out by performers such as Sofia Vergara, Miranda Cosgrove and Stephen Colbert.
Pharrell Williams, who wrote the chart-topping track Happy for the second film in the animated film franchise, will also return to provide musical contributions for the movie.
Despicable Me 4 will be released in the United States on July 3.
