Paris Saint-Germain are admirers of Chelsea defender Levi Colwill.

Chelsea remain adamant they will not entertain offers for the 20-year-old, who signed a new six-year contract last summer and is happy at Stamford Bridge.

But PSG and Liverpool are both tracking Colwill in case Chelsea are forced to sell more academy players to help them balance the books.

Chelsea could sell the likes of Conor Gallagher, Ian Maatsen, Armando Broja, and Trevoh Chalobah in the summer to fund moves for a striker, a centre-back and a left-back.

The Blues are under some pressure to stay in line with Premier League profit and sustainability rules, and selling academy players counts as “pure profit” in their financial accounts.

Colwill has been a key player for Chelsea this season, starting almost every game under Mauricio Pochettino.

Liverpool and Manchester City both considered moves for Colwill last summer before he renewed his contract at Chelsea. City then signed Josko Gvardiol instead.

Chelsea also fought off several approaches from Brighton for Colwill last summer.

PSG have become the latest club to consider signing Colwill, with sporting director Luis Campos driving their interest.

Campos will first target 18-year-old right-sided centre-back Leny Yoro, who has excelled at Lille and is also attracting interest from Real Madrid.

PSG will then look at left-sided options, including Colwill, in 2025.

Suitors hope Chelsea’s continued underperformance will force them to keep selling academy players to balance the books.

Since Todd Boehly and Clearlake Capital bought the club in 2022, they have spent over £1billion on players but Chelsea look set to miss out on Champions League revenue for the second consecutive season.

Chelsea sold around £400m worth of talent last summer to keep out of trouble after finishing 12th in the Premier League.
