New Jujutsu Kaisen Artwork Reimagines Its Cast as Edgy '90s Anime Characters
Although the series appears to be nearing its end, the Jujutsu Kaisen manga by Gege Akutami continues to be a dominating force in pop culture. Recently, a fan-edit reimagining the cast as a ‘90s anime series has gone viral online.
A major Jujutsu Kaisen fan account on X (formerly Twitter) recently shared images of Yuji Itadori, Ryomen Sukuna, Nobara Kugisaki and much of the rest of the main cast as characters from a gritty 1990s anime. Currently, there is no artist credited for these images, opening up the possibility that the edits were produced through an AI-generated program. Additionally, some of the edits are based on key scenes from the series, acting as potential spoilers for anyone not caught up with the anime or manga. Nonetheless, the X post has been shared online over 12,000 times and received over 123,000 likes as of writing.
