Netflix announces line-up for Tom Brady roast, including former teammates and coach Belichick

Netflix is gearing up for an epic event as it prepares to host a live roast of former NFL quarterback Tom Brady on May 8. The special, titled The Greatest Roast of All Time: Tom Brady, will feature a star-studded lineup of roasters, including some of Brady’s former teammates and notable personalities from the sports world.
Among the roasters announced so far are former teammates Rob Gronkowski, Julian Edelman, Randy Moss, and Drew Bledsoe. Additionally, former New England Patriots head coach Bill Belichick is set to appear, along with Oscar-winning actor Ben Affleck, who is listed as “probable” by NFL Network’s Gregg Rosenthal.
The roast will be hosted by comedian Kevin Hart and will air live on May 5 at 8 p.m. EST. The event was originally announced in May 2022 but was delayed and is now set to be released in 2024, with Brady serving as an executive producer.

Netflix’s vice president of stand-up and comedy formats, Robbie Praw, expressed excitement about the roast, stating, “We can’t wait to burn three-time Super Bowl-losing quarterback Tom Brady, who only went back to the NFL in order to delay this roast.”
Praw added, “In all seriousness, it’s a huge thrill to work with the greatest football player of all time on this project. No one’s better at taking hits and still coming out on top, so we know the roast will be a breeze for Brady.”

Brady, who retired from the NFL for the first time after the 2021 season but returned to play for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in 2022, is set to embark on a new chapter in his career. Beginning in 2024, Brady will be the lead color commentator for the NFL on Fox, alongside lead play-by-play man Kevin Burkhardt, in a lucrative deal reportedly worth $375 million over 10 years.
With a career earnings of $332.19 million and an estimated net worth of $530 million, according to Forbes, Brady has solidified his status as one of the greatest athletes of all time. His upcoming roast on Netflix is sure to be a memorable event for fans and viewers alike.
