Mother Wolf, One of LA’s Most Talked About Restaurants, Is Opening in Miami This Fall

Mother Wolf, the highly acclaimed Italian restaurant from Los Angeles, is set to open a new location in the Miami Design District this fall. The restaurant from chef Evan Funke is known for its focus on Roman cuisine and celebrity clientele.
“I’m excited to be bringing the mosaic of culinary traditions of Rome to Miami, a city that is overflowing with culture and endless experiences,” says Funke.
Collaborating with Ten Five Hospitality, Funke, a two-time James Beard Award nominee, is best known for his pasta dishes that are made in a glass-enclosed pasta-making “lab” at the center of the dining room, allowing guests to observe the preparation of Roman classics such as cacio e pepe, rigatoni all’amatriciana, and spaghettone alla gricia. The menu also includes thin, crisp Roman pizzas, starters like fried squash blossoms and artichokes, and main courses like whole branzino, lamb rib chops, and a dry-aged ribeye. In keeping with the Italian theme, servers at Mother Wolf wear tuxedo jackets, and sommeliers provide a selection of rare Italian wines by the glass, adding to the celebratory atmosphere.
Set to debut on the corner of 39th Street and Second Avenue in the Design District, Mother Wolf has gained national attention not only for its food but also for its A-list celebrity clientele (names like Mark Wahlberg, Chrissy Tiegan, and Vanessa Hudgens are all fans), with the restaurant even boasting a 1,500-person waitlist ahead of its opening in Los Angeles, and the restaurant opened a splashy second location inside the Fontainebleau Las Vegas earlier this year.
