Mother and daughter LIVE in McDonald's after being left homeless

A mother and daughter have been living in a McDonald’s in Brazil for three months with suitcases packed with belongings after being evicted from their home.
The pair, identified by local media as Susane Paula Muratoni Geremia, 64, and Bruna Muratori Geremia, 31, stay in the fast food joint until they are told to leave when it closes at 5am.
They then wait outside the restaurant, which is in the upmarket Leblon neighbourhood of Rio de Janeiro, sleeping on the street until it re-opens at 10am.
Both of them have mobile phones and pay for every meal, and say they would prefer to stay in the burger restaurant in the seaside area than take up the offer of a place in a homeless shelter.
The women claim they receive financial support from Bruna’s father, who local media report is British and living in the UK, and both deny not having paid debts.

They told CBN that they are looking for flats to rent in the area and are planning to stay in the McDonald’s branch until they find a home within their budget.
The daughter reportedly said they were happy to stay at McDonald’s until that happens.
‘It’s peaceful here and I feel safe and welcome,’ she said. ‘The staff treated us very well.’
Well-wishers in the area say offers of help to the pair have all been rebuffed, though CBN reports that they shower at nearby residents’ houses.
Despite their difficult living situation, the pair are reported to always be clean, well-dressed and do their make up every day.
Both have mobile phones, which are always fully charged, and they wait with at least five large suitcases which reportedly contain tennis rackets, clothes, and books as well as shoes and other accessories.

The 31-year-old is said to be fluent in English and Spanish and speaks some French, previously working as a languages teacher among other jobs.
The jobs usually only lasted a few months at a time, it is reported, and people who have worked with her have described her as ‘closed’ and ‘mysterious’.
Both the women are said to have been born in Rio Grande do Sul, but have lived in Rio de Janeiro for eight years.
The women told local media that they are currently looking for an apartment and do not understand the curiosity they have aroused.
The two also argued that in Europe and the United States, their situation is common.

Mum Susane said: ‘I find everything ridiculous, I can’t understand how this snowball effect happened.’
Bruna added: ‘If it were a person with darker skin, with few clothes, with few suitcases, it wouldn’t have attracted attention.
‘I think the fascination is that we look like the people that are reading about us, they see that actually, this could be them as well.
‘I did not want to have myself put in the spotlight this, I didn’t want fame or visibility for being homeless, nobody wants to live on the street, and I miss sleeping in a bed.
‘But this problem is for me and my mother, and a system that conspires against you when you don’t have lots of money in the housing market.’
