The Special Operations Command announced that during a combat mission, soldiers from the 73rd Marine Special Operations Center heroically died in a clash with Russian occupiers, according to the Special Operations Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

“While ensuring the withdrawal of the main forces of the group after completing a special mission, the soldiers engaged in their final battle, remaining in the ranks forever,” the statement said.

The Command also noted that the heroic and extremely challenging combat work of the Special Operations Forces units on land, at sea, and deep behind enemy lines is the daily contribution of the soldiers to victory over the enemy.

Raids by Special Operations Forces

Earlier, it was reported that operators from the 73rd Marine Special Operations Center conducted Operation Citadel in the Black Sea, during which they blew up a significant enemy object.

At the end of January, Special Operations Forces snipers destroyed a group of Russian scouts in the Kherson direction.

Special Operations Forces fighters also destroyed Russian strongholds in the Zaporizhzhia direction.

Additionally, on February 8, it became known that Special Operations Forces units conducted a complex and effective special operation on one of the operational directions, as a result of which the Armed Forces were able to improve their operational and tactical position.
