Mon Confiado on working with Myrtle Sarrosa for ‘Makiling’: ‘Bilib na bilib din ako sa kaniya, professional’

Myrtle Sarrosa received the approval of award-winning actor Mon Confiado for her “Makiling” performance.

In a media conference for the series’ upcoming finale week, Mon said he will surely miss working on the revenge series.

Mon played the character of Franco, the father of Myrtle’s character, Portia.

“Mami-miss ko ‘yung temper ni Doc Franco at ‘yung pambu-bully ko sa anak kong si Portia. Napanood niyo naman, laging galit si Doc Franco kay Portia at masyado siyang kumbaga walang tiwala at minamaliit,” he said.

Mon continued, “‘Yung rapport namin ni Myrtle, ibang klase din eh. So bilib na bilib din ako sa kaniya sa kaniyang pagiging professional kahit hampas-hampasin ko siya, batukan ko siya, sampalin ko siya.”

He said that all of the intense slap scenes in the series were real and “walang daya.”

“Talagang gusto ni direk, lumalagutok, authentic. Ayaw niya ng mga jerk-jerk lang,” he said.

“Makiling” is headed by lead stars Elle Villanueva and Derrick Monasterio.

It marked the real-life couple’s return to GMA Afternoon Prime following “Return to Paradise.”

Other cast members include Thea Tolentino, Claire Castro, Kristoffer Martin, Teejay Marquez, and Royce Cabrera.

“Makiling” will begin its finale week on April 29 at 4 p.m.
