CNY cheer aplenty as DAP leaders visit The Star's Penang office
GEORGE TOWN: Chinese New Year festivities arrived early at the Star Media Group premises in Jalan Masjid Kapitan Keling here with a visit from DAP leaders all clad in red.
Led by Deputy Finance Minister Lim Hui Ying, who is also Tanjong MP and Penang DAP secretary, the visitors spent about an hour at the office, named Star Pitt Street, which was once head office of The Star newspaper in the 1970s.
Also present were Deputy Chief Minister II Jagdeep Singh Deo, Jelutong MP RSN Rayer, Pengkalan Kota assemblyman Wong Yuee Harng, Seri Delima assemblyman Connie Tan Hooi Peng, Pulau Tikus assemblyman Joshua Woo, Sungai Puyu assemblyman Phee Syn Tze, Bagan Jermal assemblyman Chee Yeeh Keen, Berapit assemblyman Heng Lee Lee and other city councillors from DAP.
During the visit, they exchanged greetings with employees such as Star Media Group client brand marketing general manager Simone Liong, senior news editor Alex Teng, assistant news editor Tan Sin Chow and chief photographer KT Goh.
