Brianna Ghey's heartless killer Scarlett Jenkinson laughed after Googling her murder from behind bars before gleefully declaring 'I know how famous I am' in sick boast

When asked if she felt any regret for Brianna's murder, Scarlett replied 'I did for two hours. Now I don't give a f**k and I'd do it again.'

Brianna Ghey’s heartless killer Scarlett Jenkinson laughed after Googling her murder, as she gleefully declared from behind bars: ‘I know how famous I am’.

The warped 16-year-old, who was fascinated by notorious serial killers, dismissed the agony of her victim’s parents and said ‘they don’t mean anything to me.’

When asked if she felt any regret for Brianna’s murder, Scarlett replied ‘I did for two hours. Now I don’t give a f**k and I’d do it again.’

Jenkinson and accomplice Eddie Ratcliffe lured the transgender school pupil to Linear Park, Culcheth, where she was stabbed 28 times to the head, neck, chest and back.

It comes as a vigil was held earlier today to mark one year since Brianna’s brutal murder. Flowers, candles and a painting of Brianna were laid outside Golden Square Shopping Centre in Warrington, with many mourners wearing her favourite colour pink in tribute to the teen.

Jenkinson is currently being held at Adel Beck Secure Children’s Home in Leeds, West Yorkshire, and is expected to stay there until she is 18 years old.

A source told The Sun that Jenkinson is reveling in her fame at the secure unit and even before she was found guilty, she Googled her name and saw that people were taking about her.

The source said Jenkinson asked staff to buy her a book on US serial killer Jeffrey Dahmer, also known as the Milwaukee Cannibal or the Milwaukee Monster, who killed and dismembered his victims.

At her trial, it was revealed Jenkinson had a fascination with violence, torture, and murder and falsely claimed to have killed two victims already, talking of a desire to take bodily parts as sick souvenirs.

Both Jenkinson and Ratcliffe were found guilty of murder and were sentenced to life in prison at Manchester Crown Court, and the judge permitted for the teenagers to be named publicly for the first time.

Paying tribute to her daughter today, Esther Ghey said: ‘I will be forever thankful that I was lucky enough to spend 16 years with her. She taught me so much and gave me so much happiness and love.

‘If there’s one piece of advice that I can give to any parent, it would be to hold your children tight, and never stop telling them that that you love them.

‘I would like to thank you all for coming here today and paying respect to Brianna. I hope wherever she is now she can feel the love and respect we have for her today.’

Brianna’s headteacher Emma Mills told those gathered to honour her memory by being ‘true to yourself’.

‘Brianna knew who she was,’ she said. ‘And she was determined to be true to that. This determination spirit is something that I always admired about Brianna, and it’s a deserving legacy for us to remember her by.’

The body of ‘timid’ Brianna was found lying face-down in the mud with 28 stab wounds after the ‘frenzied’ attack at a popular beauty spot in a Cheshire village on February 11 – a year ago today.

Her twisted killers, described as a ‘danger to society’ by their victim’s mother, had planned the attack in great detail, with a handwritten note in Jenkinson’s room reading: ‘Saturday 11th February 2023. Victim: Brianna Ghey’.

They then desperately sought to cover their tracks, with Jenkinson posting a Snapchat tribute that called Brianna ‘such an amazing friend’ and ‘one of the best people I’ve ever met’.
