- MAGA Republican Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene said in an interview Democrats are hoping to get Donald Trump murdered in jail

- Greene also noted how a liberal lawmaker introduced a law that could strip Trump’s secret service detail should he go to prison
MAGA conservative Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene believes Democrats are conspiring to have former President Donald Trump murdered in jail and are attempting to strip his presidential Secret Service detail to accomplish their goal.
She made her case that liberals want to see Trump die in jail during an interview on the far-right show ‘Infowars’ with controversial host Alex Jones.
Greene claimed the many court cases Trump is facing – including an ongoing trial where he has pleaded not guilty to 34 felony counts relating to alleged hush money payments – are an intentional effort by Democrats to imprison Trump until he dies.
‘They want to lock him up in jail for the rest of his life so that he dies in jail,’ the Georgia Republican told Jones.
‘And they want to take away his Secret Service protection so that he is murdered somewhere in jail, possibly. This is how serious they are.’
Greene was referencing how Mississippi Democrat Rep. Bennie Thompson – the former chairman of the House January 6 Select Committee – introduced a bill last week that aims to strip Secret Service protections from former government officials convicted of a felony.
Former president Donald Trump sits in criminal court for his hush money trial on April 22, 2024. Trump is accused of falsifying internal business records as part of an alleged scheme to bury stories he thought might hurt his presidential campaign in 2016
Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene, R-Ga., a staunch supporter of Trump has claimed several times she believes Democrats are conspiring to have Trump die in prison.
The Denying Infinite Security and Government Resources Allocated toward Convicted and Extremely Dishonorable Former Protectees Act – called the DISGRACED Act – would force the Secret Service to relinquish protective duties to prison personnel.
‘Unfortunately, current law doesn’t anticipate how Secret Service protection would impact the felony prison sentence of a protectee – even a former President,’ Thompson said in an April 19 statement.
‘Therefore, it is necessary for us to be prepared and update the law so the American people can be assured that protective status does not translate into special treatment—and that those who are sentenced to prison will indeed serve the time required of them.’
The bill was co-sponsored by eight other Democrats.
Greene is outraged at the legislation that she says Democrats ‘aren’t sorry about.’
‘They literally want him dead,’ she continued. ‘Bennie Thompson introduced a bill to take away his Secret Service protection. That’s how serious they are.’

Former U.S. President Donald Trump arrives at his court hearing on April 23, 2024 after pleading not guilty to 34 felony counts related to a case that alleges he improperly made hush money payments to impact the 2016 election
She called the legal proceedings against Trump ‘rigged.’
Her claims are similar to those of the former president himself who has called the legal proceedings a ‘witch hunt.’
This is also not the first instance in which Greene has suggested that Democrats are trying to kill Trump by putting him behind bars.
In a lengthy February post on X, the firebrand Republican said ‘Biden’s DOJ is trying to put [President] Trump in prison for the rest of his life which would be a death sentence.’
If Trump is convicted of the 34 felony counts he is facing in his hush money trial, the former president could face a maximum sentence of 136 years.
Given that it is a state crime in New York, only Democrat Gov. Kathy Hochul could pardon him.
Greene and Thompson’s offices did not immediately return a request for comment.
