Manchester United are sweating over the fitness of Harry Maguire and Casemiro as they prepare to face Brentford in the Premier League.

Maguire withdrew from the England squad due to injury, while Casemiro took no part of Brazil’s fixture with a hamstring complaint.

It again limits Etik ten Hag’s options as he returns to the Gtech Community Stadium for the first time since being beaten 4-0 in his first month in charge.

Victor Lindelof will likely move into the centre, allowing Aaron Wan-Bissaka to start at right-back and Diogo Dalot on the left.

Kobbie Mainoo did his England chances the world of good during the international break and should return to his club in good spirits. He will likely be partnered by Scott McTominay in the centre despite Christian Eriksen going public with his unhappiness at a bit-part roll.

Rasmus Hojlund is back fit again and will start. FA Cup hero Amad Diallo is suspended.

Manchester United predicted XI: Onana; Wan-Bissaka, Lindelof, Varane, Dalot; Mainoo, McTominay; Garnacho, Fernandes, Rashford; Hojlund

Doubts: Evans, Casemiro, Bayindir, Maguire

Injuries: Shaw, Martial, Martinez, Malacia

Suspended: Amad

Time and date: 8pm on Saturday, March 30, 2024

Venue: Gtech Community Stadium

TV channel: Sky Sports
