Man dies following shooting incident in Dublin
A man has died after a shooting incident in Dublin during the early hours of Monday morning.
The incident happened at around 12.15am on the Knocknarea Road in Drimnagh.
He sustained fatal injuries during the course of the shooting incident, a garda spokesperson said.
Three men have been arrested as part of the investigation and are being held at garda stations in Dublin.
The body of the man remains at the scene and a post-mortem is being arranged.
The scene is currently preserved for the Garda Technical Bureau to carry out an examination.
The three men are being held under Section 30 of the Offences Against the State Act 1939.
The investigation is being led by a Senior Investigating Officer (SIO) from an incident room at Sundrive Road Garda Station.
Gardaí are appealing for any witnesses to these incidents to come forward.
“Anyone with any information that can assist gardaí with their investigation is asked to contact Sundrive Road Garda Station on 01 666 6600, the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111 or any garda station,” the garda spokesperson said.
